Wouldn’t you rather have 7 amazing items hanging in your closet than 20 unremarkable items that you don’t feel fabulous wearing? Pick out the items in your closet that you absolutely love and get rid of the rest. Often our closets are full of clothing but be honest with yourself, how much do you actually wear? I have learned over the years how to edit and re-edit my closet. I may not have a closet full of clothing but what I do have is clothing I love and feel great wearing. Isn’t that what we all want? Believe me, you don’t need a closet full of expensive designer clothing to take your wardrobe up to the next level. I have also learned when to splurge and when not to. What we all need to start with are the basics which will become the foundation of your wardrobe. The basics will go with everything in your closet, never go out of style, and your look is always on point. Don’t think that basic has to be boring either. Remember every item in your closet even the classic white t-shirt should make you feel amazing in.
For the last two years I’ve depended on the Tna League Puffer. Due to its versatility it has become apart of my signature style. I wear it with everything from Adidas track pants to slim black pants with heels. I love the feminine silhouette it gives you all while keeping you warm. This season it’s all about the supersized puffer. In black, I may need to add this to my wardrobe. I do live in Canada, so owning multiple coats is essential.

Julie Pelipas is the fashion director at Vogue Ukraine. Not only does she have an amazing sense of personal style but I love her whole philosophy on getting dressed and how she chooses quality over quantity. I found an interview she did for Net-A-Porter where she talks about shopping smart and not owning a lot. ” I don’t actually shop that often; I try to follow Vivienne Westwood’s rule that you should buy less, choose well, and make it last. So now I only purchase things I will love and wear forever, and not just forget about them in a couple of months”.
Also, she definitely knows how to wear a fabulous sweater.
